The “Boom” is a festival of alternative cultures that takes place every two years in Idanha-a-Nova in Portugal. It was created in 1997 and brings together several thousand people in each edition. For fans of psychedelic trance, the major DJs of the international scene come to mix on the “Dance Temple” (main stage), alternating DJ sets and lives. The fans of techno and other styles of electronic music will not be left on the other scenes alternative (Alchemy Circle, Sacred Fire, Chill-Out, Nataraj). On the menu: ethno trance, minimal, break, acid techno, drum’n bass, reggae … The line-up, extremely rich and varied, will occupy the entire festival with only a break of a few hours each day. Rest of the ears and cleaning of the site are on the program during the break.
This festival will also delight lovers of psychedelic arts: photo exhibitions, paintings, sculptures, jugglers are disseminated on the site.
A children’s area is also set aside from the sounds systems to guarantee the tranquility for the “boomers” come with family. Because yes, this festival brews all age categories. Social barriers fell and a form of unity was created with music as a universal language.
The trance culture is imbued with a strong spiritual dimension which it has, in large part, drawn from the Indian culture. At night, the Boom takes on a whole new face and takes you to some extraordinary fairytale landscapes with visual mappings and simply sumptuous phosphorescent psychedelic decorations. The “Dance Temple” remains the most impressive as the mappings and structures are rich and colorful. The line-up, more dark and psychedelic, is perfectly calibrated for the night. You can also attend, among other things, fire-juggling shows and other performing artists.
This “gathering” is a melting pot of cultures and nationalities where the spirit of unity and unity, “Oneness”, radiates during the ten days that count this festival of international fame organized in a country with a Of the most active trance scenes in Europe.
