Vinie has been a recognized artist in the middle of Street Art for a while already. She was born in Toulouse in 1984. She is a little girl with a talent for painting and drawing who organizes her first exhibition at the age of 10. Adolescent, she is introduced to graffiti in high school. Like many “street artists”, Vinie makes her hand with lettering before she can create sets and develop characters in her image. His crew of the time is the “AH”. I particularly appreciate the elegance and finesse of his paintings where one finds his recurrent small female figure. It is in Paris that she discovers and develops her character who will become her emblem: a young afro woman with an afro cup made of lettring. In tags or flops, the letters grafted by Vinie intersect with the more classic illustration, to make a piece balanced and simply pretty.
The street artist is inspired by the retro aesthetics of the pin-up, as well as the highly stylized faces of the Japanese mangas. While giving continuity to the origins of the graffiti that are the letterings! The final rendering is very aesthetic.
